Hi just sharing how kamado joe reccomended we address the tripping issue. When I was looking for a solution I never saw anyone who posted how or if it was resolved, other that rewiring.
Background: got the konnected joe set it up and it was tripping the gfi outlet.
Turns out there is a firmware upgrade
Note: This is what they sent me, but if you're have an issue please contact komado joe before doing anything.

  1. I have a connected Joe and outdoor outlets are pretty much all GCFI outlets. I leave my grill on the back deck with an outdoor extension cord ran under the deck and plugged into a GCFI outlet.

It initially tripped the outlet when starting. I had to get a higher app outlet put in and works great for the last 1.5yrs now.

    Exact same problem with mine.
The retail I bought it from, Barbeques Galore Australia, is sending a new element to replace the current one. They said it should do the trick.
I’m a bit lost here, it’s $3.5K AUD bbq and it does not work!
