I have an old stone charcoal grill and was wondering if this can be modified into a propane flat top grill, but keeping the old school look of it.

Edit: forgot to mention that not seen in the photo I took are hollow sides where a propane tank could go

Honestly, the thought of turning that into a flat top just makes me sad. Personally, I would keep it as is and get a separate flat top. Flat tops are so generic & what you have looks pretty special. I’d be absolutely pumped to show up at a party and see this bad boy rolling.

Why not add a propane set up next to it? Id personally build around whats there while retaining the charcoal/wood fire. Seems like a killer start to a whole outdoor entertainment space for summer and winter. Semi cover it up plus flooring
