(COLORADO SPRINGS) — It’s that time of the year when the Salvation Army gears up for the holidays and its Christmas community meal. But before that happens, it needs the public’s help to ensure there are enough meals for everyone.

The Salvation Army is asking for individuals to donate store-bought pies and desserts to help supply an expected 2,000-plus meals on Christmas Day.

Desserts can be dropped off Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Salvation Army at the 908 Yuma Street location. As for the free Christmas meal on Christmas Day, individuals can enjoy it from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following locations:

The Salvation Army Colorado Springs, 908 Yuma Street

Woodland Park Nazarene Church, 900 Evergreen Heights

Manitou Springs City Hall, 606 Manitou Avenue

Fountain Valley Senior Center, 5745 Southmoor Drive
