We were in BA last month, and decided to have dinner at Crizia one evening to help break away from all the meat we were having. This was a nicely decorated restaurant in the Palermo district. Not sure why, but they are very ‘tight’ security. The front door was double doored and locked, the doorman buzzed someone inside to let us in.
We went with their 7 course tasting menu that cost 165000 pesos, so more than Fogon and Don Julio.
Each dish was nicely plated and very artistic. The theme was seafood from around the area.
The prawns, squid and white fish was a standout, but all the dishes were wonderful.
However, the big complain of the evening was the pacing of the meal. At one point we waited close to 30 mins for a course to come out(squid). We got there at 9pm and didn’t leave till after midnight. Definitely way too long for this place. Other tables were noticeably frustrated with the wait time as well.
To be fair, the waiter did apologize for the delays and offer up a glass of wine for the wait.

Wow the prices have gone up so much since I was there. Crazy stuff. I think in February when I went it was 90,000 pesos per person. I thought the food and value was good, but it didn’t blow me away.
