I was inspired by a post from u/Gypsyverve a few months ago where they had incorporated some blue into their challah. I’ve since followed them on Instagram as well as the challah prince for some guidance and had a go myself.
I tried a slightly more complex braid to what I’m used to and you can see where I missed a step on the wreath on the right hand side 😅 that’s definitely going to keep me up at night

It’s just unfair. Life just doles out all the talent to certain people. And then there’s me who bought some prepared icing to try again (after 30 years) to see if I can create some kind of swirl.
I’d really like to learn how to make some kind of swirl to put on a cake for Thanksgiving (yes, I know it’s only January).🙃 My fantasy is to make an actual flower (not a rose, though. That is a pipe dream).

It looks beautiful. I’m not a fan of the blue (I just prefer no artificial food coloring) but I appreciate the effort and artistry. I could never make something that nice.
