Without a write up this post is pretty worthless.

Bacchanalia is a great entry into fine dining for beginners. It is also a solid spot for pickier eaters. You get multiple choices per course. When I went it was four courses with four choices each. It’s been around for ages. Service is very good.
The best dining experience I’ve had in Atlanta recently is at newly opened Avize. I’ve been twice since they opened in October.

Really liked the experience starting with the space, the industrial chic vibe makes the space perfect, and the service, that was great all along. You have a prix fixe menu with choices from 4 courses and additionally get a few treats like amouse bouche at the start and gourmandises at the end. I started with the foie gras terrine, deliciously paired with a salad. For main (second) had the dry aged NY strip, perfectly cooked, and loved the sides – citrus salad and braised kale with grits. The sourdough bread and local butter that pairs with the bread were also really good. The third course is a cheese course – loved the Valserena parmigiano. For dessert had the Georgia pecan, a creative reinterpretation of the local pecan flavors.
