Try the volume eating sub! They post tons of recipes, snack ideas, etc.

This is what mine looks like too. Hey if it lookalike this while you’re trying…. Imagine what it was when you weren’t. You’re still doing a good job. I rarely make my actual calories but it does make me more mindful everyday

  3. How long have you been trying 1200? If you are new at it try to hit half you goal. If you can consistently do that. Then up it to the full amount.

Hey, you’re calorie cycling, not a bad start! What do your macros look like? I’ve found that for myself, aiming for 30% fat 30% protein and 40% carbs (the protein percentage being the one that is the hardest to hit) has helped curb my over-intake tendencies. It’s made staying within my calorie goals a LOT easier vs when I was only looking at calories alone. I still average more than 1200 daily per week but I also know that maintaining an overall deficit that is sustainable over time is the overall goal, and that’s what’s important. Keep up the good work, don’t be too hard on yourself.

  5. Hey you’ve logged every day this year! That’s pretty consistent!

It averages out to a little over 1700/day. That’s pretty good. For most people that’s still going to be a deficit and you’re still making progress. Mine looks a lot like this too and I consistently lose weight.

  7. You can’t go from 2400 calories to 1200 over night. Wean down from whatever your norm is. Massive cuts like that is how you end up in a binge restrict cycle

  8. Why not try to start with a consistent goal of, say, 1,700? Work your way down or else you’ll feel hungry AF.

  9. i always eat worse on the weekends. Always. i make up for by being extra healthy on the week days, knowing i need that allowance

I pre-plan what I’m going to eat and meal prep. It takes the guess work out of adding it up later and realizing I’m over.

What works for me is raising my protein, it’s satiating.

And I meal prep so everything is already weighed out and portioned into containers for each meal. Then you just eat that like you planned an there is no guess work or decision making throughout the day.

I also wonder if your goal is too low? Maybe 1500 would be a more attainable option and see how that goes. Hitting 1500 everyday will be more of a deficit than being all over the place and also stressed about that fact.
