(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Police Department recently held their annual Christmas dinner. Lieutenant Jeremiah Johnson says that while it was not the greatest weather day, a lot of people showed up.

“I believe all the tickets that we sold, I want to say like 95% of the people came in and cashed those tickets in for the meal,” says Johnson. “Santa was there, the kids got gifts, you could tell people were having a good time.”

Johnson says that this is a wonderful event.

“This is all put up by the Beaver Dam Police Charities,” Johnson says. “You know [Officer] Matti Bublitz, who is a guest on our show, he’s our canine officer on second shift, he is the president of the Beaver Dam Charities, and detective Heather Johnson kind of made this like her event and kind of this year set everything up.”

Johnson says they both did a fantastic job of making this event successful this year.
