    High five to all the poop scientists doing good work out there. I love gut biome research. It’s really fascinating how it’s so deeply tied to both physical and mental health.

    I really hope they continue with this type of research and use better sample numbers though, the number per group involved isn’t great data. Of course a group of 20K people are going to show ‘more diverse’ bacteria compared to a group of under 700 – you’re getting samples from over 19,000 more people from one section. I’d love to see a more detailed replication of the same study with equal numbers per group, it’ll lend itself to being taken more seriously by non-vegans.

    I can definitely personally confirm that my gut health and inflammation levels are way better now compared to my old omnivore days though!
