NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Kroger has launched its 2024 Food Angel Tree program alongside The Salvation Army to support families facing challenges during the holiday season.

Kroger customers will be able to help provide a Christmas meal to an Angel Tree family by purchasing a $25 Food Angel at checkout through Dec. 29.

The Food Angel Tree program is a part of the grocery store chain’s Zero Hunger | Zero Waste initiative, which aims to eliminate hunger in its communities and reduce food waste.

“We are thrilled to partner once again with the Salvation Army for the Food Angel Tree program,” said Lauren Bell, Corporate Affairs Manager for Kroger. “Our customers and associates share a strong commitment to helping others, and this initiative provides a simple yet meaningful way to ensure families in our communities have food on their tables this Christmas.”

The funds through the program will also support The Salvation Army’s year-round programs and services that uplift individuals and families.
