The Venom is a super charger for the Vortex. I tried the Vortex using the Venom in passive mode. Venom turned off, vent slide all the way open. Grill dome temp was around 500°. I turned the Venom fan on to max speed and the temp shot up well over 600° within 5 minutes. The needle was pinned all the way around. The air coming out the top vent went from a slow flow to a blow dryer on high. Check out the pic of the Vortex blue flame.

Does it blow ash on the food at all?
Cool gadget but I get those temps without it
I have a 22″ and am want to pickup a Vortex. There are different sizes (small/medium)… is there a “right” one?
