Due to various reasons some people REALLY don’t like their food to touch. This may be an extreme case but I know a few people who would order something like this. We all have our challenges and some manifest in different ways.
Albeit left is now basically soup and I want it.

Where are the shrimps and crab? All I see is sauce…. And cheap cheese, for…. reasons!? (granted the crab could be shredded and quite fine, as it’s probably not fresh, but that’s not an excuse for the shrimps?)
Even assembled properly this must be just ghastly.

Shrimp and crab pasta, hold the shrimp and crab. At this point what’s the point of even ordering lol
SentientWickerBasket
Uh. Athlete carb-loading?
That’s all I think of when I see a fuckton of plain pasta.

Don’t want the noodles to get too soggy

Is it for a child? I hate mods like this and typically I’d tell the server no. That said if I do end up doing something like this I make sure the server tells them what they are actually going to get.
One day I had a ticket come in and they asked for a fish dish with everything on the side. So the dish was literally a piece of fish on a plate with the sauce and garnish on a separate plate in ramekins .. I think there is something about the integrity of the dish.
This is also why there should be communications between the chef and the gm. I would’ve asked the GM about this bullshit before I fired this garbage ticket

This is horrifying on so many levels

maybe keto? cuz it looks like everything on the left might be keto friendly (minus the bread) and someone else at the table is going to eat some plain pasta (like a kid)?

Is that pre grated and bagged cheddar cheese on a seafood pasta? What in the fuck
mmmmmarty
Macaroni and fuck it

They probably just can’t finish the whole serving in one sitting and don’t want the leftovers getting all soggy and weird. Or they have issues with food.

Hello, fellow autist, lol. With the ND circle of friends I have, there’s probably at least one who eats this way
ChichisdeGata
Regardless of the order, you did them a disservice by plating it in such a manner. Sauce by itself goes in a dish that holds sauce, not a flat round. As a chef, this is why I don’t eat out. No one has any common sense anymore and I can’t trust my hard earned money to someone with less than zero talent.

When restaurants are asked to commit these kind of food crimes, why do they comply?

I just ordered a burger at in n out for my toddler and specifically said “plain, it’s for a child” and this is very much giving these vibes.

I’ve never been more ecstatic that I have a shellfish allergy than I am right now after seeing this 🤢🤮

I would have served the shrimp and crab sauce and the pasta in separate bowls. I’m guessing they want to adjust how much of each they put together. Weird yes. Unheard of no.
Some people like the sauce on top of the pasta, some like it all mixed together but there are people out there that like the pasta in the sauce. Theres a difference.

This is going down as an order for sure

dafuq are they doing, dipping them one by one?

This is something one my kids would order. They will eat plain noodles happily if they don’t like the sauce but they want to try the sauce.

Poor kid just eats plain noodles with a tiny bit of butter most of the time.
