A warm meal on Christmas is always a great way to spend the holiday and thanks to several generous community members, the opportunity to enjoy one is available to everyone.

The Rhinelander Lions Club in collaboration in with Trig’s in Rhinelander will be hosting its annual Community Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day. Don Theisen, Trig’s store director and Lions member shares the details.

“On Christmas day we will start cooking turkeys 5am to begin serving the from 11:30AM to 1:00PM our guests can drive up to the express entrance where the Lions sign is on the store and pick up a free Christmas Dinner,” said Theisen.

That dinner includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, a Christmas cookie and dinner rolls.

“We will deliver the turkey dinners, or you can pick them up here. If they’re looking for delivery, today is the last day to call in, you want to call Linda at 715-525-1068,” said Theisen.

Theisen said they will be serving over 900 dinners in two hours.

“It’s a great thing that the Lions have done for over 20 years for the community, and it’s really a community dinner. It wouldn’t be possible without the employees of Trig’s, without the Lions and without all the volunteers from the community to make the deliveries happen,” said Theisen.
