A little under the weather and this was the only chicken noodle soup in the house. Wife thought I was crazy for eating this while sick. Well the jokes in her, because this was so damn good!

Not as hot as I was expecting something with ghost pepper to be. Was more on habanero heat level which is okay because it had that really awesome and unique ghost pepper flavor but at a heat level where I could enjoy it. I did sweat, but didn't have to take any breaks.

That looks amazing and I hope you feel better soon! There’s some stomach bug in my area apparently so I really hope I don’t catch it! 😕

  2. Oh good, the capsaicin is good for a cold anyways though.

I’ve seen this but I’ve been hesitant to try assuming it’ll either be too weak or not taste good. I’ll pick up a can, it sounds like it may be a good quality for canned soup.

  4. The reason for having bland food when you have a cold is so you don’t trigger your stomach, intestines or esophagus that is already inflamed. You’re trying to go easy on your digestive tract to avoid causing pain, vomiting or diarrhea. So, yeah, something as weak as ghost pepper is fine for when you’re stick. 😁

Honestly, I do the same thing. I used to make my mother worry so much when I’d spice up my sickbed food, but you need the protein, starches and water that soup provides while you’re sick and I just can’t stand plain chicken noodle soup. I add about a teaspoon of ground cumin to this particular soup to improve the flavor, and I’ve got a yellow curry powder mix I add to generic chicken noodle soup to make it palatable to me.

  5. You just need to ask yourself, is it actually spicy? Or is the salt burning your tongue?

I’ll send you mine. Way too much to finish a can.

It’s definitely hot for a main stream product. I had to cut mine with some plain greek yogurt, and I’ve got a pretty high tolerance.

I’ll say this….that soup absolutely wrecked my stomach the next day. I typically do not have any stomach issues with hot food, but I did with this one. I won’t be purchasing again.

We’ll see how good it was in about an hour. Try not to scream too loudly 😭

You should post another picture of the can so we know what you’re talking about

I had this the last time I was sick, and it gave me such a stomach ache 😅

Took a very quick 2hrs till it all came pouring out, which never happens. I was shook with the quickness of needing the toilet. Never again. Didn’t like the taste anyway.

  14. Glad you enjoyed it.

For me it tasted like someone waved a live chicken over a pot of boiling water and ghost peppers.

Don’t get me wrong, I love me some chicken noodle soup. I just wish they release more flavors with the Ghost Pepper already..
