I made “Happy Bee-Day” brownies for my coworker. One person grabbed one.

I overestimated my departments enthusiasm for chocolate.

  2. GlitterBlood773

What a bummer. I’m sorry! I’d gladly enjoy one

  3. island-breeze

Maybe people were afraid either of allergies, or not sure if they could take one. They look fantastic!

I would add a little card explaining what it is, the allergens (contains milk, dairy, soy, nuts) and “Enjoy!”.

Next time they will all be gone.

  4. nellie_nickumpoop

Such a cute idea! I DEF would’ve eaten one.

  5. These are so adorable! They look delish too. How did you make the bees?

Don’t be offended, don’t take it personally they didn’t take many – people are weary these days of any home baked good. I’ve seen other people post about this same thing.

  6. Amber_S71213

They look delicious and adorable, I would’ve had to take some home!😅

  7. perhaps_an_otter

These are so cute!!! More for you; I would have taken two if I thought I could… 👀

Don’t take it personally, everyone has there own reasons for doing what they do, (dieting from new years resolutions , allergies, feeling sluggish after chocolate at work, etc) I’d put a sign up next time tho. It’s important to just be happy with the effort and result you got personally.

Those look so delicious & cute! I would have taken one & gone back for seconds. You did a great job with those. 🐝🐝

  10. GrandmaLifestyleAt20

They’re cute little things! I’m guessing you might just work with a lot of “don’t eat from a house you haven’t seen” type people

I work in an office full of guys and these would have been inhaled in a second. When I take in something like this it barely hits the table before they descend!

Sorry to hear this its really disappointing when you put love into something and are excited to share it. 🤗

Never trust anyone who will not eat free chocolate anything!

    These look gorgeous!

  12. Oh my gosh…I’d be eyeballing them and wondering if enough time had passed that I could grab another. They look adorable and delicious! I’m sorry your coworkers hate joy.

They look delicious 😋 I would have definitely had one.

When my husband was moving jobs after 20 years, I went all out. Ordered a beautiful cake from the fancy bakery, got balloons, decorations, the whole 9. Not one single person ate the cake. And this was a car shop full of guys who eat Tabasco by the spoonful. My heart sank and I felt so bad for my husband. Not one person wanted to celebrate him. That was the confirmation that he needed to know for sure that he was making the right move. Not saying that you need to move jobs or anything, just some friendly (unsolicited) advice to protect yourself. The fact that you went out of your way to do something special shows that you are a thoughtful person, and one hell of a baker. Kudos to you for trying to make someone’s day brighter ☀️❤️

I don’t take this kind of thing personally anymore for one specific reason. Up until this year when I brought in treats to my school they’d be gratefully snapped up and I noticed this year not so much…

I realized that I underestimated how prevalent ozempic and its ilk is with my coworkers, and none of them really eat much anymore. I’ve noticed the same at other potlucks and events and kind of stopped participating. Everyone is either keto or on ozempic or sometimes both and if people don’t want things, I don’t want to waste the energy.

They do go over much better at my fiancées male dominated workplace .

  16. szechuansauz

The holiday cookie platter I made for work was practically untouched, last year it was gone it less than 2 hours. Everyone is on ozempic lol.

  17. Icy_Aside_6881

If anyone in your office is taking a GLP-1 med like Ozempic, they won’t be as tempted. Even if they think the treat looks delicious their stomach may say Nope. Or they may get sick later so they have learned to stay away.

The flower plates are so cute!!
These brownies look adorable and delicious! On the bright side – extra leftovers for you! 🩷

  19. shutupsammy55678

I would be eating the entire plate and leaving no crumbs. They missin out lol

  20. Myster_Hydra

OMG bees and sunflowers are a few of my favorite things. I’m so jelly I didn’t get some

  21. ProfessionalKnees

These look so cute! I love brownies and bees. I can’t eat gluten but in my imaginary world they are gluten-free and I take a whole plate of them.

  22. Disastrous_Soup_7137

I want all of them! They remind me of cute bees 🐝

  23. Upper_Choice_5913

It’s still January, people are still trying to diet. Don’t take it personally, these look great OP!

  24. General_Spring8635

Those are so cute!!! Wish I could take some of the extras!!!

  25. No-sleep-Addict

I’m a bit iffy about eating home made food from other people’s houses because you never know what their sanitation is really like. As a cleaner of offices I can confirm about 60-80% of the time the toilets are used but the sinks aren’t. If your coworkers can’t even wash their hands after using the toilets at work they sure as shit can’t wipe down a kitchen side, let alone not cross contaminate food.

  26. Gloomy_Activity6652

the sunflower plates are such a nice touch 😄

  27. dogg867

These are the cutest things I’ve ever seen!!!!!

  28. GeneralMedicine8920

These are absolutely adorable and I would 1000% have taken several home in my purse if I were there! Your coworkers have no idea what they’re missing. How kind and thoughtful of you to do ❤️❤️

  29. aquariusprincessxo

i don’t eat food others make. you can’t be sure what other people’s kitchen looks like

  30. A2ronMS24

Im sorry your office hates fun. Those wouldn’t have made it 10 minutes where I work.

  31. vanillasheep

I fear Covid has ruined homemade baked goods in offices 😩 these are too cute!! but I agree with everyone, an allergen sign and message would be helpful! Personally if I had a gluten brownie at work I’d have to leave to be camped in my bathroom. Don’t feel bad, you did a good deed regardless.

  32. BodyUpbeat415

I don’t think I could have had enough control to just eat one. lol when no one was looking , in my purse they go 😂

  33. ChemicalOk2223

these are soooo cute, i would’ve eaten them up for sure!!

  34. AgathaM

Today someone at my office brought in a large bag of oranges and another person brought in these weird cheese puff things that aren’t actually cheese. I can’t tell you what they were beyond orange colored, as the labels were in a foreign language. Yesterday someone brought in apple coffee cake and toffee bark.

All of that shit was gone by the end of the day it was brought in. Doesn’t make a difference what it is. It will be GONE.

  35. SteampunkCupcake_

OP, please come to my office. Your delightful brownies won’t last the morning!

Full disclosure, I am in Australia, but please come here anyway 😄

Just know that _everyone_ is silently crying. Including me, who gave up alcohol, carbs, and sugar.

It’s fine, minus the murderous impulse rages.
