Purplish black, deep and concentrated, liqourice, menthol, blackberries, earthy but so clean and pure. I’ve had many vintages of Lynch Bages in my life and was fortunate to share this with one of the family/owners a few weeks ago. It’s truly spectacular and I probably should be drinking it 5-10 years from now. Luckily, I bought quite a few bottles of the 2005, 2010, 2014, 2016 and 2018. My wife doesn’t drink, so I poured a Coravin glass for myself last night then opened the bottle this evening. Lovely.

I have 2 bottles of the 2017 Lynch Bages in my cellar. I’ve dabbled in Bordeaux of late but haven’t had any Lynch Bages vintages yet. Since you mentioned you’ve had many vintages over the years, what would you recommend as a prime drinking window for the 2017?

I just had an 18? of this and it was fantastic (my picture didn’t capture year). Jealous of your stash!
