I chuckled seeing this priced at $19.99 right next to Caymus at $69.99. Serviceable Napa cab: cherry, blackberry, cassis, and vanilla.

  1. The tragic flaw in your logic is assuming anyone actually searches for information anymore. Good to know and perhaps I’ll give it a try next time I’m at a TJ store.

  2. Andre Mack and Bon Appetit just posted a YouTube video about Trader Joes wines and this was a standout wine. Highly recommend

  3. He said the C word now give him karma!!!

For a group that apparently loathes Caymus, you Americans on here sure seem obsessed with mentioning it.

  4. Is there some sort of ulterior reason that people here despise Caymus with such a passion?

Perhaps it’s overpriced, but frankly, I’m noticing that Napa cabs across the board are all hiking their prices big time of late.

People here treat it like a jealous ex-girlfriend.

  5. I wish we carried these at my local Trader Joe’s, unfortunately our liquor laws prevent this 🙁

3x better at 1/3rd the cost, would that make it 9x better overall?

The worst thing about Caymus is when you have non-wine enthusiast friends who inevitably get a bottle of Caymus and think it is very fancy and want to tell you about it. And if you’re not a dick, you just kind of grit your teeth, smile, and comment as little as possible.

There are some absolute gems in the ‘Reserve’ ranges at TJs

    Look out for.
    ‘Diamond Reserve’
    ‘Platinum Reserve’
    ‘Grand Reserve’

The ‘Platinum Reserve Sonoma County Sparkling wine – Method d’champenoise’ is incredible value at $14.99!

At this point TJ and Costco should just plant their own estate vineyard, hire their own in house winemaker, open their own tasting room etc…will keep everyone else honest

We bought a few bottles of this wine and love it! We source almost all of our wine from Trader Joe’s. In terms of “quality” ranking (Reserve -> Grand Reserve -> Platinum Reserve -> Diamond Reserve) I think the Grand Reserve is the best intersection of price and quality. We’ve gotten some excellent Malbec and Zin at that level. I also find the Platinum Reserve Cabs to be slightly more worth it than the Diamond Reserves.

The diamond and platinum reserve bottles are all really good for the value

Between Andre Mack and a new up and coming YouTube wine guy named Dustin McQuaide(that’s his YouTube channel name).I had to go buy some TJ wine, we ended up buy 12 bottles for around $100. I can’t wait to try and compare!
