Bout time I see a decent picture of a beautifully cooked steak. Enjoy it OP you’ve earned it 🎉

Never heard of a boil bag personally, but looks tasty, enjoy!

    Looks delicious!

I do not own a boiler, but I know friends who boil their steaks and then make them look like this on the grill or using a frying pan

I was sceptical until I tried it

Looks great! Who does boiling bag steaks? First I’ve heard of that!

  7. SV is peak hipsterdom, which is why it’s so popular on reddit.

If you don’t cut it while it’s hot, it won’t bleed out everywhere 😉 a good rule of thumb is to let it rest for however long you cook it so if it takes 10 minutes to cook, let it rest for 10 minutes then cut always remember the steak will rise a couple of degrees and temperature while resting. Looks great though buddy props 👨‍🍳

    “Boil bags” 🙄

Sous vide is a perfectly fine method for cooking a steak.

Please don’t turn grilling into CrossFit, circa 2015.

Watched some idiot on TikTok (it was actually YT shorts but it was from TikTok) yesterday put a NY strip, garlic and herbs into a jar and boiled it. She pulled it out no sear nothing and said it was amazing. I almost threw up in my mouth.

Anti SV people are more annoying than SV zealots.

There’s no crust, just some oily shit on it.

I don’t always sous vide my steak, but when I do, I ingest microplastics.  Stay hungry my friends.

Looks fantastic. I prefer my steaks cooked on cast iron or grill grates, not in plastic.

But Boil bags add the lovely zest of microplastics.

Grilled to perfection, nothing beats a good ribeye.
