Piling on to what we’ve all been told, but, without hyperbole, Pizz’amici is the best pizza I’ve ever had

Which pizza is this? Snagged a res for Saturday 🙌🏻

Definitely high on my list for thin crust. Spacca Napoli takes the crown overall for me

This place absolutely slaps. Incredibly crispy crust, phenomenal sausage. Salads were also very tasty.

What did you like about it? People are raving about this place. Is it the sauce? The dough?

How are yall getting in? They don’t answer the phone and the online resi system is 100% booked.

Just curious…when I went there, they were playing music with F-bombs throughout. There were little kids sitting at an adjacent table and it was pretty weird. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Any central IL people here?? This looks like Monicals to me

I went and the pizza was pretty disappointing – soggy with not much flavor, especially for the price. The Cesar salad was really good, however.
The vibes feel very sterile inside though and sort of odd. I think over hyped and definitely not worth any wait.

The meatballs, Cesar salad, sausage and peppers, and pizza were tasty, IMO. Got sausage and giard. Not even close to best pizza I’ve ever had tho.
The service is a bit rushed and the place is unexpectedly loud. Difficult to have a conversation at a reasonably speaking level.
Would probably get take out next time.

Just had a pizza at Finley Dunnes and had a pizza at side street saloon last week. Partial to true bar pizza.

Finally going to this place next month with my gf.

Salneros just up the block at Racine and grand is a great spot if you can’t get a table for a walk in at Pizz’amici. Get the pizza extra thin + well done. It’s one of my favorite in the city, but more of a sports bar vibe inside

Romanos for me

The pizza here is very good but please calm down. The hype is out of control on this place.

Its cut in squares? Gross

Meh, I prefer canned mushrooms on pizza. You wouldn’t put cucumbers on a hamburger.

It’s very good. Best pizza ever? That’s impossible to say. So many great places & styles.

I’m partial to Neapolitan pizza but yeah this place is up there for me. The sausage and giardiniera pizza is a masterpiece

We were there tonight and had mixed feelings. The Caesar salad was delicious. The pizza had good flavor but was almost burnt, really charred on the edges and the crust was overdone and too crispy/hard to me. Agree with the comment that the atmosphere was a little weird – kind of sterile. We had a reservation, and it was kind of hard to get, but there were tables and bar spots open the whole time we were there.
