I finally bit the bullet and snagged a sourdough knife. It’s lovely! With little effort, you can carve nice, even slices without compressing the loaf. Way better than a traditional bread knife and worth the small investment.

And exactly how is this any better than a traditional bread knife? You’re still sawing through the loaf with a blade. This is another one of those useless and pointless gadgets.

I like a nice bread knife better. I have one of these hacksaw style cutters and with the blade being so narrow it seems harder to cut straight. I always seem to wind up with these wavy cuts. It also seems harder to cut through the crust at the bottom for some reason.

I’ve tried probably twenty different bread knives and the Tojiro Bread Slicer stands head and shoulders above them all, this is a beautiful knife though! Is the blade replaceable?
