Not your best work, HelloFresh. We are used to getting oddly cut & mangled chicken.
This? No words. Generally, we get two completely different sized and shaped steaks – but we’ve learned to work around that. Ranch steaks should appear similar to thin sirloins. The sinew and the mangled condition is beyond acceptable.
For transparency, I self-reported in the app, and received a $9.59 credit. I clicked the link to add photos but received an error message on the next screen.

Not to be that guy, but those are still two feasible steaks that you can make some nice food with

I quit hello fresh basically because of how bad the meat quality was. It makes me sad because it was super convenient for our busy life but I could not justify the quality downfall

Making this tonight. You’re not instilling me with a lot of confidence right now. LOL

I don’t really eat a lot of red meat to begin with but I definitely stopped getting anything that has the ‘ranch steak’. Besides the bad cuts, they just didn’t seem very good.

I also quit “not so fresh, hello fresh” for their meat quality. Many of my boxes had unacceptable meats ands they were thawed completely before I received them and not acceptable temperatures to consume. But I loved them for two years plus before they went down hill with just the meats

I’m not a fan of their cuts. Like, I have a pretty high standard for steak, but for what that’s gonna make, well, not bad for hello fresh. I just avoid steak now from them. The fish is where it’s at for me

  7. From the grain, they look like flank or skirt steak which would be way better than any sirloin IMO. Looks like they’re just badly trimmed.

They look fine to me. You even got a compensation, that seems like good customer service in my books. Enjoy your meal!

Cancelled Hello Fresh because it was a rip, don’t regret it

anyone defending these steaks is outta their mind. you get better quality at budget supermarkets.

    they look fucked.

Are you American? Lol. Always focusing on how the food looks. I bet it still tastes like steak.

  12. These are basically a variety of a cut that a local very well respected butcher shop here sells called Ugly Steaks and people love them . There’s a certain amount of tenderizing involved by the butcher, Im sure. They’re meant to be cooked med and sliced thinly against the grain . I’ve made the ranch steaks a few times and they were pretty tasty but they were to be thinly cut then cooked quickly , like the shwarma steak pita. When I want steak…I get a prime ribeye, I don’t mess around with Hello Fresh

I quit getting it. The last ranchers steak we got was subpar

  14. SgtPeter1

Nice, you got your money back, I bet it still cooks and eats good. Win-win!

  15. princess_walrus

Shit. I’m scared to make mine tonight. I thought the packaging looked weird.

  16. Altruistic-Slip-6340

Apart from the fact that they only look good for braising, the one on the left does not look the freshest

Those are better than the ranch steaks. The reach steaks look like bricks w no fat or grain? I think it’s called. Cook those bad boys up
