First time cooking NY strip, how’d I do?

    I think you did amazing. You have a very small amount of white fat, which is good all that means as it did not render all the way, which is fine. It will just be more chewy right there, but overall it looks Awesome, if I could, I have one piece of advice hold the steak with tongues and cook the fat side in the skillet with butter until it melts and renders a bit more. You will find it quite nice..

    Looks cooked nicely, (but my pet peeve is being served steak pre-cut bc it gets cold fast and I like custom sized bites).

    My one critique is that there looks like a lot of juice on the board after cutting. May need to rest longer.
