Japanese A5 Wagyu Boneless Ribeye. The last thing I fed to my recently departed dog and first thing I ate in his honor. 250F until temps were low 110s-120s, then about 90 sec/side on cast iron with some garlic and rosemary basting. Most $ I ever spent on steak. My dog didn’t even chew it 😜. #worthit

RIP to your late dog. He/she deserved every bit.
Looks impeccable!
Post pic of doggo (R.I.P.) or gtfo
i realize this is the steak sub, but with that story, i feel a pic of the dog is expected
I came here for a picture of a pup enjoying a steak
Could you even eat it? I bought one steak like this cut a little thinner and pan seared it only. Shared it with my parents and the first bite was heaven. the rest were like we were just eating straight fat and no meat! couldnt finish it!
I feel like the emoji and weird hashtag are kind of out of place when you’re talking about your dead dog, but go off i guess
More heat!!! But the potatoes are gorgeous. Someone had a mandolin and knows how to use it.
Do I have to be the guy to say that’s definitely not A5? A4 more likely
I’m sorry OP. Thinking about my own pup passing brings me to tears, can’t imagine your pain.
I agree with the rest of the comments, lets see that pupper. Good on you that you gave him a steak before the end. Good pup parent vibes.
Our Pup is having a birthday next week, and perhaps this will serve as inspiration for “our” dinner!
Gave my last four legged a half a beer and a Five Guys small cheeseburger for his last meal. My kid fed him bites, took a bunch of photos and made it a jerky video. He was totally over the moon for the meal! Sorry you lost your wonderful doggo.
I did his with my dog as well and it’s a memory I still cherish a few years later, hope you’re doing ok and sorry for your loss
Rest in peace to your doggo 🙏 and I know the steak is good but THOSE POTATOES!!!!!!
First off, sorry for your loss.
Second, You’re dog definitely doesn’t appeciate A5. On the other hand, if it’s symbolic then go for it. despite the fact that it’s as much for you as the dog, You do you. There’s nothing wrong with sharing your last meal with the best boy…. For the last 15 years working as a butcher the amount of last meal steaks I’ve sold to customers for their dogs is sorta heartbreaking. Having said that and having had to send a pup off myself, heart, Spyder and hanger were always her favourite but at some point a steak is a steak.
Sorry to hear about your dog homie, sounds like the dog was well cared for though. I think I’ll be saying goodbye to my almost 14 yr old weimaraner very soon.
