Does anyone know what this white residue is and why it keeps showing up!? I’ve owned my Nespresso for about a week now and this is the third time I’ve had to wipe it down completely because there is like a white film that just appears on it. I’ve used it exactly 4 times now. Everything has been removed as far as plastic and packaging. I have a black air fryer on my counter about 2 feet away from the Nespresso and it is the same shiny glossy black finish and it’s never once gotten this film on it so it’s nothing related to my house.
I’ve tried figuring this out on my own and I cannot find any information online about this and I’m wondering if I need to replace/return it with a different color or machine. I love everything about the coffee maker itself. I just am getting sick of having to wipe it down completely every other day.

It looks like minerals residue left after water vapours… do you have any type of humidifiers in that same room? Maybe steam/vapours go towards this coffee machine or the other appliance is made from plastic that doesn’t collect it as easily.
From your humidifier
Might be from packing materials in the warehouse. You can use some vinegar and water to remove it.

What are you wiping it down with? Water? You’re just putting more mineral deposits down when you do that. Water doesn’t dry cleanly.
Ectoplasm, it’s possessed
How hot does the machine get? It almost looks like the plastics warped. Or does it go away after being wiped down?
Are you using tap water? Looks like it could be deposits in tap water. After the steam dries up, deposits are left behind. Try using filtered water, drinking water, distilled.
Did you buy a used machine? Maybe something the previous owner used to clean before selling.
Bro is getting excited about his Nespresso, leaving white residue everywhere.
You’ve got to run a set of controlled experiments or just believe aything we tell you. Clean it off this afternoon, do it very well, and put a lastic bag over it for the night.
I’ve got nothing other than call them right away.
Do use tap water that might be hard
SOLVED! Thank you to everyone who provided insightful information.
Does the water sting when yall shower? I mean yikes that’s hard AF.
Did you buy it from Hunter Biden?
It looks like hard water spots
Weird. I had the same machine and no issues like that.
Do you use wipes that contain bleach that would cause it to stain?
