    I also love bread. How did it taste?

    Did you cut it before it had cooled down to room temp? The cut edge looks a little gummy. If it was fully cool, then it was not cooked all the way through. The loaf is a bit pasty colored, so a few more minutes in the oven would help inside and out. If you do not already have an instant read thermometer, I highly recommend one for checking the internal temp of your bakes. I love my Thermapen. Regular yeast breads are done around 195f and sourdough breads more like 205f, but go by the temp in the recipe if it states one. I started temping breads when I learned how to make babka. If I went by time and external visual cues alone, the inside wasn’t done; it needed 10-15 minutes more to cook the inside fully. The thermometer helped me know it was done.
