Hi guys,

I saw Pit Boss Pro 1600 on clearance at my local Lowe’s. At first sight, it was very sturdy and felt like a tank. Do you recommend this unit? Is it worth $699?

Thank you in advance!

Yes. I paid more for my 1150. I love my 1150 But sometimes I wish I had more space on the top rack

I have one…haven’t stop smoking meat yet. It’s worth every penny

    I’d say hell ya. I think I paid 599 for my 850

I don’t like how long it takes to get hot and it takes forever to get back to temp when opened

Just cooked two pork shoulders and a brisket flat in the pro I’ve been running for the last 4 years. I took the top rack out because it’s a bit tight with it in but it’s not given me any trouble operationally.

Worth it is a difficult question. While it’s a steal of a price do you need the space? Being in Minnesota and the temp issues with my 850 in the cold no way.

    Love mine.
No issues, use year round in chicago.
Did put a gasket on the lid right away and do use an insulation blanket in the winter months

Wow. That’s insane! I got a Traeger Pro 34 for $352 over Christmas, and thought I got a good deal. Still happy, but that’s a REALLY GOOD deal!

  11. Definitely worth $699.00, but a hard no at $699.27…what are they thinking?
