I finally decided to install the replacement firebox for my classic and I have been struggling with the installation for past 30 minutes. The pieces don't seem to align together!

You need to use the ring to keep them all together

I think you have them sitting too low. Bring them up until you can get the bottom in then use wadded up paper towels to hold the tops off the wall to get the ring on.

Put that in and it will hold it
I have the same firebox. I assure you that last side piece does fit, its just takes some finagleing because it’s a really tight fit.
Use little balls of paper between the firebox and the dome to keep it positioned. Then you can place the ring on top.
