We were first in line around 5am. I’ll never do it again. Meat was good but they lack on sides.

I went Friday and it’s by far the best in the entire state. You get what you pay for, it is *the* premium barbecue of Texas. Skip the sides, get more meat.
fishstock
$156 just for that? Please tell me there was more food for what you paid.
Hefty-Hovercraft-717
That’s a raping.
jbirddd08
That was $156?
CookieOfCrisp
Lmao

You woke up to get in line at 5am to spend $156 on BBQ for 2?
That’s on you.
VinylHighway
For one rack of beef ribs?
FatboySmith2000
I got there 30 minutes before they opened, and paid way less than you for a lot more food.
Flash_Forward_In_DFW
That damn Aaron Franklin. So expensive, but so worth it, it’s hard to argue. Congrats for being one of the lucky ones in that line!

Ridiculous

The meat all looks good. Those beans look terrible.
Son_of_Sophroniscus
It’s worth it because not just anybody can make this at home 😊
Edit: oh shit, I thought you were jerkin by just showing the bone for $150.
Slid to the second page and there’s like 30 bucks worth of BBQ… Wtf Franklins?

This is why I learned how to smoke my meat. Mine is just as good as the top BBQ places, and if I paid those prices, I’d not enjoy it. I’m frugal. Buying a smoker has paid for itself over and over, and it takes so little effort to cook it, it just needs time.
Redacted_Bull
All the meats lived up to the hype when I went in Nov. agree that the sides were eh.
corruptllama45
Was it worth the money though?
stupidjanrogers
Franklin* …and who cares about sides?
Christoph3r
Is this a troll post? Has to be.

Interstellar is the joint I think should be getting the attention that Franklin’s does. Franklin’s meats are incredible but Interstellar’s are just as good, plus they have more variety, plus they have sides that are equal to how good the meat is.
coolassdude1
Damn, that’s near fine dining prices. How long were you waiting in line?
SteinBizzle
Hey everybody, looks like a billionaire topherleelonmusk has joined the group! JK, I’d go too just for the experience/bucket-list checkoff. Sorry the sides were meh but the meats look amazing. It’s even better that you went with some bro’s to share the experience.
DeadCheckR1775
What is it with these BBQ joints charging so damn much. I’m sure you had other things on that bill but damn it’s still high.
Mysterious-Reply-397
Not sure why people continue to spend so much for BBQ. You all know how much it costs to buy the meat and fix the sides. Yet you continue to spend 300x more than what it is really worth. I understand companies needing to break even and make a profit but some of that posts are just insane.
Biscotti_BT
I don’t think any meal I can be close to making myself for substantially less is worth paying that much for. This is pretty much any steak, or any BBQ. Had lots and they aren’t that much better than mine.
So I usually spend on sushi, fine Italian or French.
pondo13
how much for 1 rib?
keyclap
Not worth the price. Lots of very good places for 1/3 the price
