Hey, I bought 3 eggplants yesterday in Poland at an Italian stand. I don't know where they came from. Do you think their color suggests that they are spoiled? They smell nice, taste a bit sour but I've never eaten eggplant raw so I have no comparison 🙁

    We’re they that colour when you first cut them? If you left them for a bit that might just be oxidation

    I’ve used eggplant like that several times. I smelled them and they smelled fine. I cut the ends off, sliced them in planks and used them to make moussaka and eggplant Parmesan and they worked fine, tasted fine and no gastrointestinal issues. But that’s just me. Do as you see fit with them..
