I’ve never seen anything like that. Have no idea how that could even happen. Manufacturing defect? Warranty replacement?

  2. Wushtof has gone precipitously down hill in the past two decades. They used to have good quality control. It’s actually sad how bad they have become. I see snaps right in front of the bolster all the time now. Shattered spine is the same kind of major steel defect.

They might replace that knife but if they don’t I recommend victorinox for a new knife. Wushtof just isn’t what it used to be.

It looks like you beat it with another knife. What are you cutting, rocks?

Is that the new spring lock design so you can mount the storage block inverted to the underside of your kitchen cabinets?

Never understood the appeal, give me a global knife any day over any German knife.

  6. Hey they offer lifetime warranty, maybe you can have new one

Bro wtf. Hit them up see if you can get a replacement!

That’s a bummer. At least now you have an excuse to buy a knife without a bolster that gets in the way of a claw grip;)

  9. Your blade did not make the cut, please exit the forge.

That sucks. To be frank though, it’s not necessarily the tool, but who’s handling and how sharp. My knife kit had some antique knives I brought back from the dead and some seriously cheap ones that I loved because of how they felt and I spent some time learning to sharpen my knives how I preferred them. Your tools become extensions of yourself and I understand and empathize with the loss. Let the Wusthof know, but as prior posters have said, they are not made nearly as well as in the past. RIP

I’ve never seen a knife broken like this before

Hey! I have the same knife!

I got the pink one to try and stop the guys using it but they’re secure in their masculinity and love it.

I’m going to be extra careful of her now though.

Getting a bit scared since i have the same knife, how long did you use it for before this happened?

I used to sell Wüsthof knives and I’ve actually seen this a couple of times before. If I remember correctly this falls under warranty of factory error, contact the place where you bought it!
