The Pickle Barrel began with a mission. We believed that amazing dining experiences didn’t need to be elitist, so we began a restaurant that combined ‘quality’ with ‘incredible value’. Our origins were humble; there were six of us working hard to open an 85-seat deli on Leslie Street in Toronto. Still, our vision captured people’s attention, and when our doors opened in 1971, there was already a line up outside.
Today they have restaurants across Greater Toronto Area, our menu has 300 items and we have over 1,000 employees. One thing that hasn’t changed though is their mission. They still have many of their original customers too (we just have a lot more to keep them company).

Hand-cut and battered, with crisp jalapeños and bell peppers. Served with ancho chipotle sauce and warm tomato marinara.

A big sandwich combining 8 oz of our famous smoked meat and classic corned beef, piled high on a double layer of marble rye with creamy coleslaw, swiss cheese and Russian dressing. Served with coleslaw and a dill pickle spear. | + Stack it higher (3 oz) 4

AAA top sirloin, three eggs, crispy potato barrels, fresh fruit and choice of toast.

    The fasting wasn’t my idea, but back in 2021, I had a bowel blockage occur and was hospitalized for 5 days with NO FOOD or DRINK! I was however on saline through I.V. I’ll tell you what Ken, I piece of ice was delicious 😂👍

    its kind of funny because Canada has such a recent boom in great fast food selections and promo items (i.e the McDavid and Matthews burgers at McDonalds) and also a plethora of delicious food options downtown Toronto that could keep this channel running til the end of time but yet we get a video of Ken changing in his van and eating at Pickle Barrel , a washed up chain restaurant from the boomer era

    LOL Ken try tiny bites of the pickle with a big bite of sandwich. That is the way I would eat the dill pickle. My thing to strive for in the new year is to show more kindness, because now days we seem to have a lack of kindness. And you're welcome,☺ Ken glad to give a like for more of your great videos.🥞🍕🍟☕🍩🍺 I cannot fast, I have migraines, and my head will give me grief if I fast. I do everything I can to avoid having a migraine and control them with my diet.

    Hi Ken, thanks for another great video. Calamari is traditionally served with red sauce, especially in Italian restaurants and in Italy too. Some places use a spicy red sauce with red pepper flakes.

    KEN! long time watcher man, i gotta see the canadian popeyes menu. im from TX and i saw they have a burrito and fried pickles.. you don’t have to eat the pickles lol but man i gotta see this burrito!!!
