    E none of the above cause anything other than accepting my fate and fixing/remaking the dish ASAP is just going to compound my misery by piling tickets up. I reserve the right to talk shit about the situation while I do so though, and I’ll be taking that smoke break the minute someone’s free to man my station 😅

    I always go with B, unless FOH pissed me off that morning, then I’ll throw at bit of both A, and B in there and go smoke afterwards haha

    Sometimes I miss the work of a busy restaurant kitchen, seeing memes like this not so much. Honestly my go to was to seethe and develop ulcers afterwards taking a smoke break while trying not to bitch about it, weed and beer after shifts also pushed it down.

    if its actually questionable i say “tell them im very sorry and working on it now”. then i hook them up with a bigger portion. its really not a big deal. if its just the customer being one of those customers, ill ill literally temp up steak in the microwave we have stashed in the back corner. or sometimes ill just set a 2 minute timer and send the same plate back.

    if its actually messed up or the customer is just nice about, ill do what i can to take care of them. if theyre just being a karen i want you to eat and get out asap.

    as a FOH lurker here my life hack is ALWAYS blame it on the ticket printer…. damn technology!! my customers always buy it and no one gets thrown under the bus 🙂

    Slow week here at the shop, felt like we could all use a good laugh! It can be a toxic industry, gotta laugh that shit off sometimes! As long as the order was fixed it’s all that matters, no one wants to go to an establishment that is known to the public as being a bunch of assholes. Food business ain’t easy!
