Siberian dumplings, filled with minced meat and onion, cooked in a hefty homemade broth. They are commonly served with a kind of sour cream.

A pleasure to eat, especially since the filling absorbs some of the broth, which warmly floods your mouth with every bite.

A pain in the a** to prepare, but once you ate them homemade it's hard to go back to the storebought ones.

I just discovered these! Local grocer had them with chicken filling.

    I boiled them up

Fried of a diced onion, some celery and garlic then added a rich brown chicken stock. Finished with lots of fresh dill. Swam the pilmeni in there.

This is exceedingly good. Like must try delicious.

Never heard of! Just curious about the ”pain in the ass”part: are there any differences between making these or, for example, ravioli?
