Bit rare for me too but cook and eat it how you like it.

  2. funkinehh

Depends how you like it. Tad rare for me as well.

  3. rancevsky

A little bit yes, would sear an additional minute on each side.

  4. CelticTigress

My opinion is I should be your friend and you can make me steak. Let’s eat.

  5. Fine-West-369

Put theirs in a pan and cook how they like it

  6. FyrewulfGaming

On the rarer side, but not egregious. Some people here are eating legitimately raw meat.

  7. GKRKarate99

Bro that shit’s still being branded and milked

  8. I joined this channel/group in hopes of possibly discovering new techniques in the preparation of one of the most delightful meals a person can enjoy making, as well as eating !!!
Instead, I find nothing but a continued debate on what “” RARE “” Is ….. and who determines it !!??
Who gives a shit how you want to eat your steak, rare or well !! What should matter most, is enjoying the cooking process, sharing it with good friends,, and enjoying life !!! Not on what someone else thinks !!

  9. typical_gamer1

    Is it rare? Yes.

Too rare? For whom? Him? Fck him. 😂 eat it however you like it.

PS. I like mine rare too.

  10. LennyReno

There is no such thing as “too rare”. It is either raw, seared, rare, medium rare, medium.

  11. HalfJunior4068

Rare with a weak sear. Forget the butter herb baste BS and get your fundamentals down.

  12. steveyjoe21

I’m a medium rare steak guy. I would eat it, but that is right about my cutoff. A lot of that depends on how much I’ve had to drink.

  13. neptunexl

Need a new friend, your opinion is fine.

    Sharpen that knife!

  14. EcstaticJuggernaut46

It is for me, but it’s not my steak.

  15. Hangninthereguy

That’s a rare steak. If “rare” is not cooked enough for your liking, it’s undercooked. If you like “rare” – it’s perfect

  16. dumpsterfire_account

I don’t get this second opinion nonsense.

People like their steak cooked to different temperatures. Something that I like may be too rare for someone else, and I know people who like temps that I think are too rare.

Why didn’t you ask your friends how they liked their steak before you served it to them?

The mark of a good steak cook is being able to accurately cook a delicious steak at a variety of temps.

If you cooked this for yourself, who cares what your friends think? If you cooked this for them, I would suggest asking them and cooking sections to everyone’s taste.

I’d be more enthusiastic eating a steak this rare if there was a better sear on it. To me, the quality of sear is more important than doneness

  18. PubDefLakersGuy

Too rare, but you do you.

    But if I’m cooking for guests I would never serve something this rare;

the majority of population would send this back in any restaurant.

  19. SaintJimmy1

It is pretty rare. I prefer ribeye closer to medium rare but I love a lean cut like sirloin or filet when cooked rare.

  20. uhhthatonechick

For me, it’s a little too blue, but I’d probably still eat it. I could see why they told you it was too rare

  21. A bit on the rare side, but please for the love of god sharpen your knife

  22. Hey man, everyone’s got an opinion. Mine is that, yeah it’s on the rare side, but still looks great. Next time you cook, invite me please.

  23. UrbanFuturistic

This is why I leave the grill going, and tell anyone if it’s not to their liking, I’ll put it back on for them. It’s ok if they have a different preference.

  24. Perfect for me, but to each their own 🤷‍♀️

  25. fishbulb83

It is on the rare side but if you like it rare it’s perfectly fine. I personally like it a tad bit more cooked.

  26. DeadStockWalking

Too rare. Most people expect medium rare which has zero purple.

  27. techcreek

There’s no wrong way to drink bourbon. Steak’s the same.
You’re not in high school any more. You’re grown.
    Eat what you like.

  28. dutchhustle

That’s not rare – I cook steak multiple times a week it’s a large part of my diet – invest in a meat thermometer your core is undercooked and never reached proper temperature. You can’t just take a steak out the fridge and sear it for 2 mins each side and think you got a rare steak – you’re much better off in the oven for 20 mins on 225 degrees – get the core to 115 degrees and right out of the oven into a high temperature cast iron for 2 mins each side then let it rest under tinfoil for 5-10 mins.
    You’re welcome

  29. caliman1717

I’d eat it, but that’s definitely going to be on the ‘too rare’ side for a lot of people.
