Been looking at getting a new Spirit grill, and saw the newly released models (with the red trim)—they look great, but I'm confused why they made them so small?
Compare:
Spirit E-310, 424 sq inch surface (enclosed, but with worse warranty—only 5 years for grates and bars)
Spirit II E-310, 424 sq inch surface (no enclosed storage, but 10 year warranty across the board)
The new (late-2024) Spirit E-325, 360 sq inch cooking surface (enclosed again, with the same worse warranty as the original E-310)
Was interested in the 2024 one for the extra sear zones, which is something I'd want, but the shrinkflation here is kind of offputting… still worth looking at? Or just bite the bullet and upgrade to a Genesis at this point, which feels like more grill than I'd need, but has the size/warranty/sear burners that I'm interested in.
Thanks!

Weber’s version of shrinkflation?
Having more grill-space is better than not.
Get the Genesis and don’t look back.
Grill On.
“Why” you ask – the answer is always corporate profits.
They now make 4 burner spirits which are basically the same size as the older 3 burners. IMO it’s actually better b/c you get an extra burner in the same space.
