AUGUSTA, (WGME) — A Christmas Day tradition decades in the making will continue on Wednesday in Augusta.
The South Parish Congregational Church will hold a free curbside community dinner from 11:30 in the morning until one in the afternoon.
Organizers say more than 270 meals will be delivered in the area, and there will be curbside pickup for anyone who wants a full turkey dinner.
It’s a tradition more than 40 years in the making, and organizers say for many people, it’s the highlight of their Christmas.
If you’re looking for a meal, call 622-0552 and leave a message.
Organizers say if you can’t drive to the church, meals can be delivered to people in the area.
You can call that same number if you’re interested in volunteering.
