Sleeper surprise for me. Completely worth the trip from San Francisco if you’re in the area.
**TLDR**: super fresh, food-focused (sounds weird and obvious, but this menu more than most seemed driven by the absolutely best available ingredients driving the menu as a whole).
**Food:** everything was great, multiple 10/10 dishes. The hokkaido scallop and carrot dish was up there in best 3 dishes of the year for me (the carrot puree was wildly good and the whole dish was perfectly composed). The mini bites, progression, and desserts were all amazing. Only minor miss was the ribeye which was slightly undercooked resulting in some of the fat no rendering.
**Wine**: I didn’t drink, but tasted two of my wife’s wines. Overall this was not a strong pairing. I suggest asking to see it first and possibly opting for something you know and enjoy.
We will definitely be back. If this was in SF proper, it would be extremely difficult to get in to.
