My Habanero's need Up potting, what size would you recommend?
Also I have been battling aphids and small caterpillars, is there anything I could mix in the soil to prevent any eggs being laid?

At least 5 gallon per plant

They will grow to whatever pot size you put them in. I did 5 gal to 10 gal to half whiskey barrel. Pictured on my profile, it turned into an habanero tree and produced over 750 peppers , started from seed all in one season

As others have said, bigger is better. I’ve grown in 3 gallons, 5 gallons, and last year I had one in a 7 gallon container. Each year I moved up a pot size, the harvest also increased quite a bit. I’m giving a few 20 gallon containers this upcoming spring, and I’m hoping the harvest will be the largest yet. Good luck!

Whatever you do you should have a minimum of a ten inch diameter pot. The roots like to spread out.
