Burglars stole an empty till drawer and ignored a full wine fridge and spirit shelf. Lucky escape for us.

Well that sucks… hope you’ll get compensation with insurence.

Shitty man. Hope they cut themselves reaching through to open the door.
Do you have to start the cork soaking process over?

Not a good start of the day. But don’t tell everyone what the burglars missed. I’ve had it happen also years ago, but now there are cameras and alarms.

When i first started working at my current restaurant, it got robbed twice in 2 weeks, zero security, smh

Fortunately the thief wasn’t a down on their luck sommelier.

Always best practice to leave till drawers open at the end of the day. Doubly so if they are in any way visible from outside. Probably wouldn’t have stopped them breaking in here, but they wouldn’t have stolen the draw….

Hopefully they didn’t steal the corks that are waiting to be recycled!!!

In my experience people that break into restaurants waste their time with a few dollars in a register while ignoring the $500k in wine inventory.

Someone once broke in, stabbed the lock off the liquor closest and took maybe 2-3 bottles instead of just going upstairs and taking any of the bottles from behind the bar

well fuck. I’m sorry man, I hope it gets resolved without too much hassle.

Maybe the landlord should arrange to have the lower 2/3 of that door replaced with a heavy panel that can’t be broken through.
