So I was being impatient with my new starter and I guess I used it before it was ready. Hours later and no rise, so I had to add instant yeast and some more flour and water. This turn out to be the best ear I got ever 🤷.

  1. Is it really bread making if you don’t have to improvise a bit?? But l seriously, the crumb on that looks amazing!

Looks great for adding yeast in! How old is your starter?

If that’s failed to you I don’t even want to think what would you say about my sourdough

That bread looks amazing. I’d eat it. Look at all that real estate for butter!

It looks pretty. So what went wrong, the slice? The taste? What’s the matter with it.

It’s probably delicious but it’s not dense enough to cut a slice thinner than like a half inch

No judgment for adding a bit of instant yeast, your intuition paid off. End result is *bread* not a brick. Well done!

That’s not failed. It looks good.

    How much flour and water?

Edit: it’s still sourdough if you use yeast too. A lot more bakers do it than you think.

But how long have you been doing this? This looks so good, and I trust you wanting to improve. I’d still be happy to eat this bread, and I hope you enjoyed it. 💖
