Recipe Steps:

Dry Roast Sesame Seeds: Heat a pan and dry roast 1 cup of white sesame seeds until they turn light golden and release a nutty aroma.
Roast Spices: In the same pan, add 2 teaspoons of red chili, 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, and 1 teaspoon of coriander seeds. Roast for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
Cool the Ingredients: Allow the sesame seeds and spices to cool completely.
Grind the Mixture: In a grinder, add the roasted sesame seeds, spices, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of asafoetida. Grind to a coarse powder.
Store and Serve: Transfer the Nuvvula Kaaram Podi to an airtight container. It can be served with rice, ghee, or used as a side with dosas and idlis!
