Here lies KoRn Here to Slay-

    7.2/10

I ordered this sauce on Amazon. The first time I ever saw KoRn, I think I was 15 years old. I remember seeing them in Kansas City, being super stoked. KoRn was one of THE bands that defined who I was at the time. They were also with Shinedown (which I still need to try their sauces) and I think the opener was Dope. Anyway, this band is still one of my favorites to this day. If you’re a fan of rock/metal, its hard to deny that KoRn is one of the best and most influential Nu Metal bands that has ever existed. Just for fun, one of the days I was enjoying this sauce with my breakfast, I listened to the band, and sat back to reminisce at the times I’ve seen them, which I think is 5 times! I’m spending my days training to get a promotion, so this sauce has eased me into being just a smidge more comfortable.

REVIEW: I’ll start this off by saying that this sauce is extremely mild in heat, but not in flavor. Now, I thought it was just a gimmick when I saw corn as one of the first ingredients listed, but the sauce delivers! This one has a bit more sweet than heat, and the sweetness is actually dynamic rather than blasting your mouth hole with fruit or sugar. The onion was definitely cooked out into a more caramelized and smooth state. To be honest, I am not even sure if i’d go out of my way to call this a hot sauce, rather, I personally think this is a bottled puree. (That’s what a hot sauce is, I know. But i guess I’m saying this is more agreeable to someone who doesn’t heat hot foods, and is really versatile!) … The corn and onion puree, combined with the pineapple and peppers is delicious, and I can see this being used for a salad dressing, a sauce for meats, or even just directly on vegetables. The only thing I’d complain about it the lack of salty flavor. The sauce is by no means too sweet, but with the different layers of sweetness, it would be just a touch better with a little more ~something~ .. Now, It has come to my attention that there is a Hotter version, and I would probably recommend grabbing that one, as this one left me yearning for more. Rest in Peace, Spicy Prince

Feel free to recommend other band sauces, suggest other sauces from Heatonist, or tell us your experience with this sauce!
