I assume they’re ceramic. If so, they’ll end getting smashed over time, and are probably much more expensive to replace compared to a regular plate.
They’re cute, but not the smartest investment.

There is no amount of delicious this dessert can possibly be to make up for its incredibly stupid presentation. Unless it comes with a happy ending or $100 stuffed inside, that’s a hard pass from me. With pointing and audible laughter.

I hope the name is pretentious something like “Pop!” or “Latex”

Well, the photo isn’t doing it any justice. Why is it so low quality?

Ive eaten somewhere that had these plates. The whole experience was designed to bring you back to your childhood, so the balloon plate(as well as multiple other unconventional plates) worked very well.
But like these are 100% plates that are designed to look like deflated balloons and can be washed. Actually kinda nice because it gives you a little bowl to scoop out the crumbs lol

Why tho?
And it’s very expensive too. Well, that’s inflation for you.
I’m a person promoting plates. This is bad and you should feel bad.
I assume the balloons are solid… otherwise jabbing with your fork could have really messy consequences
If it’s a ceramic balloon, I hold no judgement.
If it’s a regular balloon that pops in the eater’s face alongside their Michelin priced food, I suggest opening a spectator section.
Add signs for each side: Eat the Rich and Let Them Eat Cake.
Rotterdam is hier een beetje te nuchter voor vrees ik.
Well you aren’t doing a great job publicizing if you’re shit talking
Put the food on a plate and get rid of the backstory. If the food is good and the place is comfortable, people will come.
I always think that these ‘creative choices’ are because the food really isn’t all that good.
You can also eat in/from a balloon in the netherlands: https://www.culiair.nl/
