Wishing I could go back to Tokyo and re-eat the best ramen in the whole world

Gosh, and I wish I could follow along. This ramen has nice, rich color. The pork has a deep crisp on it. And I see the noodles. It’s just me, I like seeing the noodles. Toppings are wonderful, but visually much more appealing to me to not have ramen buried by toppings. Beautiful photo. Thanks for sharing.

Lol this came up on my feed right under the other r/Ramen post about how people never share restaurant names

Downvoted for not taking the tiny bit of effort to say where this is from.

    Posts like this suck.

I’m sorry guys, I know first-hand the frustration of not being able to know where the food in the post is from. I would have mentioned it if I remembered the restaurant but unfortunately I don’t. This photo was taken years ago when I was much younger and stumbled into a restaurant on a whim. Unsurprisingly, Tokyo in general had the best ramen I’ve ever had, and that was the intent of the post. I live in NYC where the ramen is decent, but I miss being able to have casual access to such truly great ramen like I did in Japan. This photo came up on my iPhone today as a memory and it took me back to that moment and made me happy and I thought I would share it with you.

Headed back to Japan in a few months, I’m so excited to eat more ramen.

Looks like a place I went to named Setagaya Ramen in the Tokyo airport. It was really good.

    # Got it! This is very likely Ramen Sen no Kaze Kyoto.

Thanks to [lsiunl](/user/lsiunl/) for suggesting it! I didn’t have any useful meta data but I went to 2016 in my album to find it and it was surrounded by other photos of Kyoto. I was only there a couple of days so I didn’t immediately think it was here. In addition to the ramen looking similar it has an almost identical bowl and table to the ones used in the restaurant. Sorry to Kyoto for misattributing this to Tokyo. But shout-out to Tokyo for also having amazing ramen.

I hope you all (and me as well) can make it back to Japan to have a bowl. Cheers!
