After compiling the top searches from each state, Google has announced this week which Thanksgiving dishes were most searched in each state.

Of the 50 states, many leaned toward casseroles and bread over other dishes, but Oklahoma expressed a bit of a sweet tooth.

What is Oklahoma’s most searched side dish?

This last week, 25 states searched for casserole dishes. These dishes included corn and sweet potato, but Oklahomans needed to find the perfect green bean casserole.

Our neighbors to the North were in agreement. Colorado and Kansas both looked for green bean casserole, while Texas differed in its corn variety.

Green bean casserole isn’t a new favorite of Oklahomans, as it was released as one of Oklahoma’s favorite side dishes, along with stuffing and other side dishes.

What is Oklahoma’s most searched baked goods?

While much of the nation was busy looking up cake like Colorado’s pumpkin cheesecake, or California’s apple spice cake or pies like Texas and Missouri, Oklahoma had a different favorite.

Oklahoma was one of five states that searched for cookies more than any other dessert. The Sooner state joins Hawaii (pumpkin pecan Biscoff), Vermont (oatmeal cookies) and Pennsylvania and Delaware (sugar cookies).
