Today, we bring you a delightful snack recipe – Cheesy Chilli Mushroom Balls. This recipe is so easy and delicious that you can prepare it quickly at home. Crispy on the outside and loaded with cheese and mushroom inside, these balls will surely be a hit with your family and friends. Perfect for parties, get-togethers, or tea-time snacks.

Ingredients:
Button mushrooms 400 gms
Water for blanching
For stuffing:
Onion chopped 2 pcs
Ginger chopped 1 tsp
Green chilli chopped 1 tsp
Red chilli powder ½ tsp
Jeera powder ½ tsp
Chaat masala ½ tsp
Garam masala ¼ tsp
Coriander chopped 1 tbsp
Mozzarella cheese grated 1 cup
For slurry:
Refined flour ½ cup
Salt ¼ tsp
Blackpepper powder a pinch
Water as required
For coating:
Panko bread crumbs 2 cups
Method:
Prepare the Mushrooms
Wash the button mushrooms thoroughly and pat them dry.
Gently remove the stems to create a cavity for stuffing. Set the mushroom caps aside.
Make the Stuffing
In a mixing bowl, combine chopped onions, ginger, and green chilli.
Add red chilli powder, jeera powder, chaat masala, and garam masala. Mix well to evenly distribute the spices.
Stir in the grated mozzarella cheese and chopped coriander leaves. Mix until the ingredients are well combined.
Stuff the Mushrooms
Take each mushroom cap and tightly fill it with the prepared stuffing mixture. Press gently to ensure the filling stays in place.
Prepare the Slurry
In a bowl, mix refined flour, salt, and a pinch of black pepper powder.
Gradually add water while stirring to form a smooth, lump-free batter. The batter should have a medium-thick consistency to coat the mushrooms evenly.
Coat the Mushrooms
Spread the panko breadcrumbs on a plate.
Dip each stuffed mushroom into the slurry, ensuring it is fully coated. Let the excess batter drip off.
Roll the battered mushroom in breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to ensure the coating sticks firmly.
Fry the Mushrooms
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Test the oil by dropping a breadcrumb; it should sizzle and rise to the surface.
Fry the coated mushrooms in small batches, turning occasionally for even cooking.
Fry until the mushrooms are golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
Serve Hot
Serve the crispy cheesy chilli mushrooms immediately with your favorite dipping sauces, such as spicy mayo, mint chutney, or ketchup.
Sprinkle a little chaat masala on top for an added burst of flavor.
