My fiancé and I are trying to limit going to the grocery store to twice every month. I am only feeding 2 people and a 2 year old dog but groceries seem so expensive. What are the cheapest meals to meal prep? And what meats should I use to feed only 2 people? Also what meals should I make for my dog?

Those Californian snack things might be super cheap to make yourself! I used to prep them on work weeks!

  2. Rice (get a rice cooker) with chicken, carrots, peas.. batch prep it, freeze in portions, and just throw it in the microwave.. maybe some frozen blueberries to top it off.

How is their shrimp?  Any good recipes to use it?

I’m sorry, meals you should make for your dog? Is there a reason you should be making meals for your dog other than feeding them a good quality and dog food?

    That’s not enough!
It should be twice the protein options for that price

Op costcos Kirkland dog food brand. Is one of the best dog foods you can buy. Kirkland brand specifically is meant to be the competition for top brands. For example their vodka is made to compete with grey goose are far as quality goes. I’d consider that. Dog meal prep is very costly unless you have access to farm butchers

Also a lot of those bars and pre made snacks are pretty pricey for what you get. 3 pounds of apples for $5 vs 12 bars for what $15. Better to eat an apple

  7. Where are the Yoggies??

Also, get yourself the Black Cherry Chipotle Kinder seasoning and put it on your chicken 😋

Protein (chicken, shrimp, etc) is almost always cheaper at your local grocer (Kroger, Publix, Shaws, etc) especially if you clip coupons.
The only time protein is more cost effective at Costco is if you get full beef cuts and then “butcher” them (not for the faint hearted).

If you insist on limiting “grocery runs” and buying bulk.. get a vacuum sealer.

LPT coming from a lifelong dog owner: unless you have a purebred show dog, feed it kibble (Fromm’s) and invest in pet insurance. Unless you’re batching specific meals for said pup, the inconsistency of human foods will make all of your lives rather unpleasant.

Honestly I’d expect you to have more from Costco.
