If it’s not cracked, do it! Highly recommend getting an Egg Genius as well.

And you can probably get it for under $500. Do it.

Verbal meme: *Ed Truck shaking the hand of a bewildered looking young Micheal Scott* My friends thanking me for smoking delicious pork for 18 hours. Me who fell asleep and drank beer the whole time.

Welcome to the club my friend. Go get that beautiful egg.

I don’t think anyone in this forum will talk you out of getting an egg 😂 That’s a great price, assuming it is a large.

As a Weber to BGE convert, I highly recommend getting the egg. It uses fuel a lot more efficiently, especially for the longer low and slow cooks. There is a slight learning curve, but there is plenty of information out on the internets. I am sure you will still use your Weber, but nothing wrong with adding a better cooker to your arsenal.

If you decided to get it, just make sure you look it over really well, from top to bottom and inside out, to make sure there are no cracks in the egg.

I have had mine for 10years and it’s still going. Well worth it.

Buy it if it isn’t damaged. I’ve got two, you won’t regret buying a BGE.

Dude why are we talking you out of it, that’s a fucking steal

I would offer a little less. I just grabbed a similar setup for $350- dude had only used it maybe twice and then wife turned ‘vegetarian’…

Lot of good egg deals out there as I feel like they were trending a few years back and a lot of posers bought them. They then realized that making fires was work and switched to Traegers or some other easy bake oven variation…for sure grab one while the deals are hot. No reason to buy new with how long they last.

Do NOT buy that egg! Because I want it. Send me the link and I’ll save you from it! JK. Of course you should buy it. Looks like a deal!

I had a WSM for 10 years and upgraded to a large BGE 11 years ago. My only regret was not doing it sooner. Go get it!

Do we know if they ever used lighter fluid?

I have a BGE and a KJ. I prefer the KJ FWIW

  12. ErroneousM0nk

I don’t dislike you, so I wouldn’t do that to you, buy it!

If you can wait a bit, I got my xl Costco egg for 700. 550 seems a bit high for a used one.

$500 because it has the accessories which are not cheap. Do it

  15. My only comment would be that new, from dealer BGE comes with a lifetime warranty on the ceramics. I’ve replaced my firebox and the ring above it several times. I’m pretty sure the warranty isn’t transferrable. The main shell will likely outlast you but some of the innards won’t.
