🍕 Recipe for Turkish Pide (Makes 4 Pides)
For the Dough:
1 cup lukewarm water
½ tbsp active dry yeast
½ tbsp sugar
2.5–3 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for rolling the dough)
1 tsp salt
Toppings:
Mince Meat Topping
Combine minced beef with finely chopped or food-processed tomato, green and red peppers, onion, and garlic.
Add red pepper paste, tomato paste, salt, and pepper to taste.
Tip: If the meat is lean, add a drizzle of olive oil for extra juiciness.
Cheese & Sucuk Topping
Mix Turkish white cheese (crumbled) with shredded Kashar or mozzarella cheese.
Top with slices of sucuk (Turkish sausage) for a rich, savory flavor.
Bake at 250°C for about 12 to 15 min. Brush the edges with melted butter immediately after baking for extra flavor.
