Ended up catching part of the wooden beam and the vent above on fire. Spent the rest of that day washing fire extinguisher dust off of everything

    About 20 years ago a pizza place near me had oven incident but much worse. The explosion launched the owner over the front counter and through the front window. He lived but was messed up.

    Ovens should not release gas if the pilot light is not lit. If the owner doesn’t immediately remove this appliance from service by locking it out before having it repaired, it’s time to call OSHA.
